How to make mutton handi ingredients used cooking time

1 hour preparation time: 15 minutes cooking time: 45 minutes total time: 1 hour and 30 minutes servings 6 mutton pieces
700 grams onions
2 medium size, chopped tomatoes
5 small ones, crushed garlic
1 teaspoon ginger paste
1 teaspoon all purpose powder masala pwd- 1⁄2 teaspoon red chili powder/lal mirch pwd- 1⁄4 teaspoon coriander powder/ dhaniya pwd- 1⁄2 teasppon garam masala pwd or shahi jeera pwd – 1⁄4 teaspoon turmeric powder /haldi pwd – 1⁄2 tea spoon saunf (fennel seeds)- 1⁄4 tea spoon salt to taste oil – 2 tablespoons ghee or butter to be added later cashews – 10 to 15 nos. green chilies – 2 nos., slit lengthwise for garnishing fresh cream – 3 to 4 tbsp grated paneer (cottage cheese) – 200 gms for garnishing the making of mutton handi first marinate mutton pieces in curd for an hour. drain them well and keep aside. heat oil in a deep pan, add cumin seeds & let them crackle. add onion & green chilies & saute till golden brown on low flame. then add ginger-garlic paste & saute till raw smell goes off completely.

Slit green chillies, keep it aside. Chop onions finely. Peel tomatoes, take out seeds and chop them into small pieces. Heat oil in a pan. Add asafoetida, ginger garlic paste to it.
